Job Description.

We are currently looking for a Project Manager to join our New Product Introduction team. Reporting into the Director of Programmes, you will assume responsibility for the delivery of key customer projects.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Support the Director of Programmes on the management of the project portfolio
  • Apply Change, Risk and Resource management at the programme level
  • Develop and monitor deadlines, budgets and activities
  • Manage resourcing conflicts within portfolio
  • Support the sales and engineering teams with new project cost & time estimates
  • Preparation and presentation of project portfolio status reports to Director of Programmes and Senior Leadership Team
  • Supporting the business in generating successful bids and capture plans
  • Effective communication of project performance, issues and risks to all stakeholders (and where appropriate manage expectations) for projects
  • Identification of opportunities for continuous improvements of Project Management process and procedures and support improvement opportunities
  • Ensuring that the project delivery aligns with company procedures and standards at all times


Education and Experience:

  • Experience of successfully delivering complex projects using recognised Project Management techniques
  • Demonstrable experience of energising teams to meet critical timescales and project delivery within budget
  • Knowledge and qualification in APM Body of Knowledge, PRINCE2 or PMP methodologies

Other Attributes:

  • Ability to manage customer expectations and avoid unwanted scope creep
  • Good understanding of Risk Management and how this is used to manage a project
  • Persuasive and clear communication skills across all levels of the business
  • Strong problem solving capabilities
  • Proficiency in the use and understanding of Project Management / resource tools such as MS Project and MS Project Server or other enterprise Project Management tool
