Role Details

We are looking for a  Quality Technician to join our small Quality team on site in Newport. The role will support our Quality team in a number of areas to ensure manufacturing quality standards are maintained and continuously improved. 

Working as part of our quality team, the role will involve:
  • Maintaining document control system.
  • Supporting calibration system – sending items for calibration, performing internal verifications.
  • Airborne particle checks in the cleanroom and following up failures/improvements with engineering teams.
  • Support internal audits to ensure compliance with the Quality Management System and Standards: ISO9001, IATF16969, VDA 6.3, ISO5001, ISO45001, ISO14001.
  • Completing 5S audits and following up on actions.
  • Carrying out spot audits.
  • Working closely with manufacturing & engineering teams to investigate and resolve any non-confirming product or customer issues.
  • Maintaining and updating Quality Documents.
  • Working with Quality Control Circles on continuous improvement projects.
  • Working with team to ensure electrostatic discharge compliance.

Skills and Experience

  • At least 2 years’ experience in a Quality role
  • Manufacturing experience
  • Experience using Quality Tools including FMEA, 5S, 8D, MSA
  • Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Continuous improvement mindset and an ability to drive projects and actions through to completion.
  • IATF16969, VDA 6.3, ISO5001, ISO45001, ISO14001 experience
  • ISO9001 internal auditor qualification
