Job Description.

We are currently looking to recruit Programme Engineer to join our New Product Introduction team. The role will support the introduction of new projects from initial quotation stage through to serial production and subsequent changes, ensuring that project deliverables are achieved and are in line with customers and regulatory requirements. 

Your general duties will include:

  • Comply with customer requests whilst ensuring best cost effectiveness to the company. 
  • The development of timing plans to meet customer need dates.
  • The review of project status against the timing plan with the customer; the internal project team and provide information for project planning meetings.
  • That key date reviews are conducted as per the timing plan and that all slippages are addressed and escalated where necessary.
  • That samples are produced in line with customer needs to meet the project timing requirements.
  • If new suppliers are required to support new projects, that they are selected using the current company processes for supplier selection and approval.
  • Define process flow based around equipment set.
  • Deliver robust new processes on schedule.
  • Build manufacturing process flow using PROMIS WIP management system.
  • Coordinate new process module setups with Process Engineering team.
  • Review and interpret electrical data.
  • Interact and liaise with customers.

Qualifications and education requirements:

  • BSc degree in relevant subject.
  • Minimum 3+years semiconductor industry experience.
  • Good working Knowledge of Photonics and or GaN technologies is highly desirable.

Desired skills and behaviours:

  • Knowledge of Failure Analysis techniques
  • Good data analysis capability (JMP, SAS, Excel)
  • Experience of Design of Experiment (DOE) methodology for process optimisation
  • Knowledge of statistical methods such as SPC, Cpk
  • Knowledge of device physics and characterisation
  • Knowledge of PROMIS (or similar Manufacturing Execution System).
  • Highly motivated.
  • Experience of working with customers.
  • Statistical analysis and DOE design.
  • Project management
  • Strong trouble shooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
