Job Description.

We are currently looking for a Manager within our Facilities team to lead on Site Services and Projects. Reporting into the Facilities & EHS Director this is an active role covering upkeep of all site buildings and grounds along with delivering critical business improvement projects site wide. Ranging from cleanroom expansion projects through to individual tool installation programs & facilities infrastructure upgrades. 

Principle accountabilities

  • Supporting the Facilities & EHS Director and the Facilities and EHS teams in achieving the strategic dept goals
  • Lead the site services and project teams operational and strategic planning whilst organizing and negotiating the allocation of resources to meet dept and customer commitments
  • Manage cross-functional project teams as the team leader, ensuring conflicts and problems are resolved swiftly & effectively
  • Manage contractor tender negotiations and supervision/coordination of onsite contractors including method statements, risk assessments and permit to work
  • Develop service level agreements and effective key performance indicators with core suppliers and contracting companies
  • Manage financial aspects of the site services function, including budgeting and developing business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for site services spending and initiatives. Work closely with Procurement team to continually reduce net project costs
  • Manage Facilities Work Request System (FWR’s) to oversee timely and cost effective completion & Track Performance To Schedule (PTS) and spend variance minimising VO’s
  • Provide information and instruction to CAD design engineers to enable accurate drawings & validate accuracy of design information and subsequent preparation of project file for approval by Facilities Change Review Board (FCRB)
Qualifications, Skills, Experience and Behaviours
The successful candidate will ideally have:
  • Degree / HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred
  • Microsoft Project qualification – CAD skills would be advantageous
  • NEBOSH Occupational Health and Safety Certificate (desirable).
  • ILM or CMI Level 3 in supervision/management or applicable experience
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in a facilities / project environment preferred
